Goodday! We’re glad The School for Alchemy has sparked your curiosity. The School was founded by Karen Vuijsters, owner Spirit Path – a studio for acupuncture therapy.
From a young age, Karen has been deeply moved by life itself: curious, attentive, and quietly devoted to understanding its rhythms.
Early on, a natural gift revealed itself: the ability to truly see the pain of others, and a sincere desire to help ease it.
She first expressed this gift as a teacher and student mentor. Yet her hands began to whisper of another path – one rooted in ancient practices and in working with the intelligence of nature. Guided by this inner knowing, she chose to study acupuncture.
In 2022, Karen graduated cum laude and opened her studio in Utrecht. Since then, she has supported more than 300 people through acupuncture, mentoring, and ceremonial work.
While running the studio, she was increasingly invited to teach, host seminars, and facilitate external sessions. From this growing call, and from her own wish to share ancestral wisdom, the year program The Alchemy of Your Nature was born.
Through both the year program and her one-on-one work in practice, a clear vision emerged: to offer people the tools to shape their own lives, to rediscover their innate self-healing capacity, and to lean on the wisdom of the ancient ones. That vision became the seed from which The School for Alchemy grew.
Karen is 37 and lives between Utrecht and Italy with her partner. She holds a BA in Media & Culture, is trained in Acupuncture, and has an MA in Sociology. Her background includes many years in education and communication. Yet it was through her own dark night of the soul that she reconnected with the quiet whispers of her soul: whispers that ultimately led her to guiding.
Karen’s way of being is shaped by her Projector profile in Human Design, moving through what is known as The Vessel of Love. In the Mayan tradition she is a White Mirror, in Chinese astrology a Dragon, and in Western astrology a double Libra. In essence, her purpose unfolds when she is allowed to reflect, guide, and walk alongside others as they navigate their lives.
Her guidance is direct and honest, some call it tough love, yet always deeply committed. She remains beside you, steady and present, as you find your way.
In her free time, Karen loves to create. She cooks, writes business plans, develops programs, sings songs, and reimagines spaces. And yes, occasionally she convinces herself she’s a choreographer, adding the boldest dance moves to well-known songs.
